Flashback Friday: Harmattan
Since I had such a long break in blogging, I thought I would share the patterns I published in that in between time. Each Friday, I'll give you a little flashback so you can catch up on what I did over the last two and a half years.
Harmattan is part of the Trade Winds Collection, which is a two part collection of accessories themed on the named winds of the Middle East and North Africa. It is knit with worsted weight yarn, and is available in five sizes from infant to large adult.
It is available for sale on both Love Crafts and Ravelry. Alexander was a good sport about being my model and was paid with the hat. He wears it almost every day in fall and winter now. He says he gets so many compliments and questions on it that he wanted to pass out my business cards so interested people could find out where to buy it! That delighted me. I also packed him up with a stack of my business cards

New Pattern: Sah'aab
I'm delighted that Craft On is back! It was perfect timing, as I just re-started my blog.
My big news is that my first pattern of the year is out now. Sah'aab is a pattern that was inspired by the yarn. I saw it and loved it and wanted to squish up it's cloudy goodness. This is a deceptively quick pattern. It is made with bulky or superbulky yarn and is fun to knit and easy to construct with only two small seams. If you would like this pattern, you can find it on Love Crafts Knitting or Ravelry. Please favorite it, if you like it, too!
Here is my next project with the books I am reading right now. At least, these are the books I am reading for myself. The younger kids and I are reading Farmer Boy and Rich and I are working our way through One Flesh.
Books, from bottom to top: The Little House Cookbook, Fear and Clothing, and The Complete Book of Breads
We've been cooking along to the Little House books and I have been making a lot of bread. What are you reading?
Keep Calm and Craft On.

Menu Plan: January 26 - February 1
It's another busy week for us. There aren't really any days that don't have busy afternoons, with ballet, and we have co-op, too. We're in the last week of the Christmas season, so only the Wednesday and Friday abstinence, but we are still eating loads of cookies and treats. Some people have asked why I don't show our lunches. That is because we usually eat leftovers or sandwiches, so they aren't really that different.

Arabian Knits Blog Re-Boot
Happy New Year! One of my goals this year is to get back to blogging, and I wanted to make a re-introduction here.
Rather than try to reconfigure all 13 years' worth of posts with their photographs, though as I can I hope to put the pictures back, my new posts will be equipped with photography. Thank you to those of you who have kept up with me in other ways. If you want to follow me on social media, please check out the links in the sidebar, but if you just want to read my ramblings and get updates on my designs, see my knitting and other crafts, get some menu ideas, this is the place to see it.
My first pattern of the year is about to come out, and I hope you will be as excited about it as I am. Sah'aab is a hooded scarflette full to bursting with squishy cables. It's a quick knit, made with super-bulky yarn and minimal seaming. It will be available for sale Monday on both Love Crafts Knitting and Ravelry, both stores are linked in the sidebar. If you want to get the first notice of new patterns like this, please sign up for my newsletter, 1,001 Knits.
