Finished Object Friday: Amira's Pillow

So, I didn't post last week. I haven't been very good at consistency here. Also, participation is down. Should I keep doing this? You tell me.

Anyway, I did finish something last week! Late Saturday night, I finished this:

I started working on it before I had Yasmina. I did some of the sewing and then got stuck on the piping. Cutting the bias strip was a little scary for me. Rich encouraged me, and I did it and everything went fairly well after that. I gave it to Amira on Sunday, rather than on her birthday, as that was her day for a party and presents. She is in love with it. How could she not be? It is pink with flowers and purple and a bow!

If you have one or more finished items this week, please sign Mr. Linky below and share all you have made. Your Finished Object(s) can be knit, crocheted, sewn, quilted, tatted, beaded, papercraft, woodwork or any other kind of craft. Show off what you have made! Please make sure you link to the exact post that shows your finished item(s) rather than just to your blog.

I like your FO Friday - though I'm not good at getting something in every week!

And I like that pillow - it's cool how you managed to make a bow that's not raised!

The flat bow is the work of the pattern: Simplicity 9873. I've done two pillows from it, one for Jerome and this for Amira. It is a sewing for dummies pattern. :)

I enjoy your finished object friday. I never post here, even if I do finish something (and that is not often) because I don't have a blog. I just read them. Thanks for a great blog.

I am not sure if I am understanding correctly but please tell me you aren't thinking of ending your blog!!! Even though I am not inspired to do all your projects (you can't pay me enough to take up sewing!!!), I do love hearing about the possibilities of projects out there and some of them give me ideas. I am definitely into the gardening aspect as i want to add to our food supply as well. I started with herbs and was mildly successful so wish me luck on spinach. And as I stated befor, I LOVE the music. Home alone with 2 boys (husband works nights) i put it on ALL THE TIME. It is family friendly music. I understand if yu ahve to end the blog but I vote for keeping it going.

Not the whole blog, just the finished object Friday posts. However, I'm thinking if even a couple people are interested, I'll keep going with them.

Oh I'm glad you're not closing the blog...it seems to me a whole lot of people enjoy visiting on your blog...including me!

Have a sunny day!

Have you ever made keifer, or keifer cheese or yogurt? If you haven't, we have been and it's an easy thing to do...I even made keifer rolls that have no yeast...they were wonderful!

See you next post!
