Christ is Risen! The Lord is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!
This week is going to be hard. It is yet another major feast that we cannot share with others, and that we cannot go to church, and that we won't be able to go do our normal picnic and kite flying (which was already a little harder - trying to find a decent hill here). I'm tired. We are weary. Christ is still Risen and He will ascend nonetheless. The first words we said to Nejat were "I love you Nejat," and "Christ is Risen!" Those were the most important things we wanted her to hear the first time she saw us. I'm trying to remember that now.

  Breakfast: Blueberry Pancakes with Maple Syrup, Bacon, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Grilled Cilantro Lime Chicken Skewers, Thai Vegetable Noodle Salad, Sliced Honeydew
• Monday
  Breakfast: Steel Cut Oats with Raisins and Brown Sugar, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Wood Fired Pizzas, Salad
• Tuesday - Feast of Saint Dunstan
  Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs and Toast, Bananas, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Shrimp and Chorizo with Rice, Roasted Asparagus, Homemade Samoas
• Wednesday - Feast of Saint Alcuin
  Breakfast: Peanut Butter Toast with Honey and Bananas, Tea and Honey
  Dinner: Roasted Asparagus, Tuna and Hardboiled Egg Sandwiches, Sliced Honeydew
• Thursday - Feast of the Ascension
  Breakfast: Blintz Casserole with Sour Cream and Raspberry Amaretto Preserves, Bacon, Milk & Coffee
  Dinner: Oven Fried Chicken (using panko and drizzling butter over the chicken before baking), Cold Roasted Asparagus, Potato and Green Bean Salad with Radishes and Saffron Aoili
• Friday
  Breakfast: Lenten Waffles with Maple Syrup, Sliced Oranges, Tea and Honey
  Dinner: Tacos de Papa with Avocado Relish, Sliced Oranges
• Saturday
  Breakfast: Blueberry Pancakes with Maple Syrup, Bacon, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Potato Dressing, Gravy, Steam Sautéed Carrots, Crème Brulée
