Menu Plan Monday: Thanksgiving Week
The chaplain and his family are bringing a roast duck, the godparents are bringing the cranberry-horseradish relish. I'm trying to decide whether or not to make a succotash. It would add more vegetables, but also more starch which, as you can see, we already have plenty of. Alexander wants to make gingerbread, so we'll see if he does it. If we have enough of the quince left, I will make a quince pie as well.
- Monday: Reruns
- Tuesday: Chicken & Black Bean Quesadillas
- Wednesday: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches & Tomato Soup
- Thursday: Hors-d'oeuvres, Relish Tray, Herb Roasted Turkey, Herbed Bourbon Gravy, Roast Duck, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Cornbread Dressing, Wild Rice Dressing, Sweet Potato Rolls, Salad, Shredded Brussels Sprouts, Cranberry-Horseradish Relish, Pumpkin Pies, Cranberry Cherry Pies, Chocolate Pecan Pies, Nantucket Cranberry Pies, Apple Pies, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sparkling Cranberry-Apple Cider & Sparkling Apple Cider
- Friday: Leftovers Party (Each year we invite our friends and family to come with their leftovers and games, and we eat and play all day)
- Saturday: Turkey & Rice Casserole, Salad
- Sunday: After Thanksgiving Soup, Rolls & Salad
