Menu Plan: November 1 - 7

Today is the Feast of All Saints. With All Hallow's Eve and All Souls, it is a Triduum of commemoration. Pray for your family's departed. Pray for the many souls who have nobody to pray for them. I make it a particular practice of mine to pray for our Protestant friends and family who have passed, as well as my Muslim family, as I know most of them have nobody else praying for them. Christ comes to those in Hades, as well, and judges the heart perfectly. Tomorrow, I will be especially remembering my grandparents, on both sides, Rich's father, my aunts and uncles who have passed, some friends of ours who have passed over the last year, Emmanuel, Rayan, all of our lost innocents. Please join me in prayer.
I'm finally catching up on recipes, and there is a fairly long recipe round up that was posted yesterday, and there will be another couple long ones coming up soon. I hope you enjoy the recipes, and that they help you feed your families good meals.
We're still cooking from the freezer, in anticipation of our butcher's phone call, and starting to think about Thanksgiving prep. With all that is going on here, Thanksgiving is going to be more potluck than it normally is here, and will have fewer pies. Elijah, God bless him, said he wanted to make the gingerbread, since Alexander is not going to be here to make it.
Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your words of comfort.
