Alleluia! The Spirit of the Lord fills the world! Oh come, let us adore Him. Alleluia!
This is the second highest feast of the Church year. It is the birthday of the Church. We cannot have our tongues of flame barbecue, or a talent show to show off our gifts, but we can go to church! We will celebrate as we can. It has been eleven weeks since we have been able to meet in a church.

Pentecost is the undoing of Babel. It is the empowering by the Holy Spirit of the Apostles to spread the Church throughout the world to every people, tribe, tongue and nation. This week also includes the feast of Justin Martyr, who said, "We used to hate and destroy one another and refused to associate with people of another race or country. Now, because of Christ, we live together with such people and pray for our enemies." These both seem to be the best responses to the cruelty and and fear of our world.

  Breakfast: Corned Beef Hash, Fruit, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Grilled Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, Potato Salad with Kalamata Olives and Lemon Dill Vinaigrette, Watermelon, Strawberry Pentecost "Birthday" Cake
• Monday - Feast of Justin Martyr
  Breakfast: Labneh, Za'atar and Olive Oil on Toast, Oranges, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Pork Tacos, Black Beans and Roasted Corn, Salsa Rice, Roasted Pepper Salsa
• Tuesday
  Breakfast: Peaches and Cream Oatmeal, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Saucy Sour Cream Meatballs with Green Beans, Egg Noodles
• Wednesday
  Breakfast: Banana Pear Quickbread, Tea and Honey
  Dinner: Ricotta Rapini Ravioli with Butter Tomato Sauce, Salad, Crème Brûlée, Bread, Fruit
• Thursday
  Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs with Cheese and Toast, Sliced Apples, Milk and Coffee
  Dinner: Ranchero Beans and Rice, Fruit Plate
• Friday
  Breakfast: Peanut Butter Toast with Honey, Fruit, Tea with Honey
  Dinner: Tortilla Casserole with Refried Beans, Quick and Dirty Mexican Rice (with oil and vegetable broth)
• Saturday
  Breakfast: Caramel Apple French Toast Strata (using Mascarpone and Hazelnuts), Bacon, Milk & Coffee
  Dinner: Grilled Leg of Lamb, Arabic Rice Pilaf, Chopped Salad, Lemon Feta Dip, Shabboura*, Pistachio Cream Cake Dinner with Friends - Bringing Asparagus Dish
